Camp Invention, Play Well, Summer Camp

Get ready for another incredible summer at St. Thomas!  This year, our camps are divided into 2 categories: Sponsored Camps, and STAES Original Camps.  Sponsored Camps will include a 1/2 – Full day of activities run by one of our summer partners, Play Well, and Camp Invention.

Pricing:

  • STAES Original Camps are $150 for 1/2 day (9 am – 12 pm) and $250 for a full day (9 am – 4 pm) Children will be divided into 3 age brackets: 3-5 years, 6-9, and 10-14.
  • Play Well camps are $175 for 1/2 day, and $250 for a full day
  • Camp Invention is $240 for the full day (1/2 day not available for CI)
  • Early registration fee is $20 Now – May 31
  • Late registration fee is $35 June 1- August 5
  • Registration fees are a ONE TIME payment for each student registered – meaning if you register for 3 camps, you only pay $20 total

Renaissance Camp will feature themed activities that will take your kiddos back in time to explore skills like archery, fencing, chess, stained glass art, engineering siege engines, and more!

Camp Artiste will allow your kiddo to explore their creativity through a variety of mediums in Fine Arts, Music, and Performing arts.

Camp-tathalon! is a chance for kids to flex their muscles through classes built around popular sports and competitions. Classes include basketball, soccer, archery, fencing, martial arts, chess, and more.

Play Well camps are fun-filled experiences with LEGOs built around unique themes that kids love. This year we will be hosting 1 Play-Well camp a month on the following themes:

  • Jedi Engineering (June)
  • Harry Potter Magical Engineering (July)
  • Minecraft Engineering (August)

Each of these camps is a 1/2 day of LEGO-filled fun, which can be extended for a full day on the same theme. Ages 5-9 will have LEGO materials classes in the morning, and 10-14 in the afternoon.

Register for 2019 Camp Invention at St. Thomas. This year’s theme is Supercharged and features:

CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING
Children team up to rebuild ships and design underwater equipment in Deep Sea Mystery™.

STEM APPLICATION
In DIY Orbot™, participants explore circuit boards, motors and gears as they design a remote-control bot to take on obstacles from sports to dance.

INNOVATION
Children collaborate with inventor superheroes and take on the role of engineers, fabricators and innovators to conquer villains in Innovation Force™.

CONFIDENCE
Kids become successful entrepreneurs in Farm Tech™, as they code bots to turn a polluted wasteland into a money-making machine and create devices to save animals.
