Virtousity

December 8, 2020, Author: April Smith

As you know, St. Thomas practices a different virtue each month. This month’s virtue is generosity and during this season of giving our 5th/6th grade class coordinated a toy drive with Communities in Schools at McWhirter Elementary. Class President John Levine led the effort to gather toys for families in need, soliciting dozens of donations from other grade levels. On Friday, Dec. 4, they helped load up the toys to be wrapped and delivered at McWhirter. We are so proud of our students exemplifying what it means to be a virtuous citizen.

Student Council drafted the letter below in appreciation to all who donated gifts.

Dear St. Thomas Families,

Thank you for your support in donating to the McWhirter kids. We have a lot more gifts and presents than expected. The picture at the end of this letter will show the presents. Again, thank you to all who donated!
