Summer Camp

All classes listed are available in 1/2 day intervals with prices varying by class.  When you register for a full day of St. Thomas Summer Camp, your child will participate in a half-day class with our partnership program (i.e. Play-Well, Knight School, Archery, etc…), and the other half of their day with our experienced and dedicated staff in STAES Summer Fun Camp. Each week has a variety of indoor and outdoor activities scheduled such as arts & crafts, water play, movies, games, and more.

  • Morning classes are 9am-Noon
  • Lunch is Noon-1pm
  • Afternoon classes are 1pm-4pm

St. Thomas is committed to hosting summer camp students in the safest ways possible. We will be implementing the following practices:

  • masks for all campers, instructors & staff
  • multiple entry points for drop-off & pick-up to lower the density of students
  • temperature checks for all humans entering the building at drop off
  • frequent handwashing breaks and hand sanitizer readily available

Preschool summer camp is offered each week for half and full-day options:

    • half day $150
    • full day $250

Any week that multiple classes are scheduled (i.e. Archery + Chess, etc), there are 3 pricing options:

    • half day only one class – as listed below for each camp class
    • full day 1 class+STAES Summer Fun Camp $250
    • full day 2 classes $325

The one-time $20 Registration Fee is required at the time of payment.

Earlycare will be 7:30a.m.-9:00a.m. and Aftercare is 4:00p.m.-5:30p.m. if you need to drop your camper off before camp starts or pick them up after camp ends.

    • Pre-registration for both Early and Aftercare is $50/week
    • Pay-as-you-go is $10 per day Earlycare and $10 per day Aftercare

June 7-11

PlayWell Transportation Engineering (Ages 5-7)

Break the sound barrier on a supersonic jet, deliver cargo by train, and explore a swamp in your airboat. Build and create different modes of transportation out of more than 20,000 pieces of LEGO®, all while learning about the engineering concepts that make vehicles and vessels work.

$175 half-day, $250 full day

PlayWell Transportation Master Engineering (Ages 8-12)

Take a double decker bus ride through London, pilot a hovercraft over land and sea, and make important deliveries in a cargo plane. Learn about STEM concepts as we explore the various ways that we transport goods and people from place to place.

June 14-18

Archery (Ages 5-12)

Suellen Purdum, St. Thomas’s own PE teacher is also a certified archery instructor and will be offering a children’s archery class for kids (kindergarten and up) of all skill levels.

Coder Kids: Minecraft Modding (Ages 8-12)

Take your love of Minecraft and your coding skills to the next level with our Minecraft Modding class. Using a combination of modding software and some custom skills anyone can do from home, this class is guaranteed to change the way you view Minecraft forever!

$200 half-day, $250 full day

Coder Kids: Foundations (Ages 5-7)

Come check out the latest in pre-reader coding! In this class, students will use hands-on tools, apps, and games to learn the fundamentals of coding on tablets and computers. Students will work through multiple levels of our Coding Foundations curriculum in preparation for Scratch.  No experience required!

$200 half-day, $250 full day

June 28-July 2

PlayWell Minecraft Engineering (Ages 5-7)

Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as a Creeper, a Lava Trap, and a Minecart. Create your favorite Minecraft mobs, tools, and objects with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.

$175 half-day, $250 full day

PlayWell Minecraft Master Engineering (Ages 8-12)

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® parts! Build an Iron Golem, the Nether Portal, and the Ender Dragon. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects.

July 5-9

Archery (Ages 5-12)

Knight School of Chess (Ages 5-12)

The one-week Knight School Summer Chess Camp is the perfect way to spend a thrilling week with other cool, smart kids who love to battle and compete! Activities change constantly in a dizzying flurry of fun that kids find compelling and thrilling. Chess Camp is a super-fun, high-energy chess experience in which kids ages 5-12 celebrate a new chess tactic each day with silly videos, music-driven puzzlers for prizes, and chess clock tourneys.

$175 half-day, $250 full day

July 12-16

PlayWell Pokemon Engineering (Ages 5-7)

Join Ash and Pikachu as you build, capture, train, and explore the vast world of Pokémon with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts. Design your own Poké Balls, explore the Kanto region, and fly with Charizard. Explore engineering through the fun world of Pokémon with the guidance of a Play-Well instructor.

Coder Kids: Minecraft Adventure (Ages 8-12)

Join us on a brand new adventure! Explore custom-built Minecraft worlds you’ve never seen before! In this class, you’ll make friends, fight enemies, and have unforgettable quests. As an essential part of the class, we will practice principles of leadership like goal setting, communication, and delegation! You’re welcome to join if you’re brand new to Minecraft or are an experienced player. Let’s mine some Diamonds!

$200 half-day, $250 full day

Littles Science Camp

St. Thomas’s own PreK 3 & 4 teacher, Mrs. Williams, will be hosting a week of science fun and exploring for kids ages 3-5. They will engage in fun experiments such as making slime and many other hands-on activities.

PlayWell Pokemon Master Engineering (Ages 8-12)

Start your training in Pallet Town and expand your Pokédex as you collect your favorite Pokémon with LEGO® materials. Surf with Blastoise, challenge Team Rocket, and earn badges from gym leaders on your way to the Pokémon League. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas while learning about STEM concepts

Coder Kids: Scratch Jr (Ages 5-7)

Use ScratchJr to create projects using code and learn the basic principles of computer programming. Snap coding blocks together to create a portfolio of coding projects in preparation for Scratch. Projects will be a combination of animations, stories, and simple games! We can’t wait to show you how to program, and how to create your own interactive stories!

$200 half-day, $250 full day

Camp Invention (Ages 5-12)

For more than 30 years, millions of children from across the country have benefited from the innovative curriculum of Camp Invention®, the flagship STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) program from the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF).

In addition to experiencing engaging, hands-on activities that spur creativity, for many children, a week of Camp Invention helps them realize that they have the power to invent something that can benefit others.

**This is a full day class. Click HERE to register for this camp. You cannot register through the school.

July 26-30

Etiquette (Ages 5-7)

Etiquette class gives children the social skills to be comfortable and confident in any social situation. We will concentrate on essential skills including basic manners, cell phone and gaming etiquette, dining out and table manners, social media, introductions, and safety in public. The students will learn through games, interactive lessons, and hands-on practice. The class will culminate in a dinner, where the students will show off their new skills. (Materials Fee of $30)

First Notes (Ages 4-6)

First Notes introduces your child to music, piano, and rhythm instruments, as they study the fundamentals of music through games, singing, hands-on projects, and constructive play time. The goal is for each child to explore music and develop a love for singing and instruments.  This class is geared for children wanting to begin music lessons soon, and also beginning students to grow and expand their knowledge. (Materials Fee of $15)

PlayWell Intro to STEM (Ages 5-7)

Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: Tunnel Boring Machines, Stilt Houses and Teacup Rides. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

$175 half-day, $250 full day

PlayWell STEM Challenge (Ages 8-12)

Master your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as elaborate Houseboats, heavy duty Forklifts, and Big Ben Clocktowers! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.
