Fencing: Foil
Foil fencing is the most frequently taught class in fencing and generally serves as a good foundation when moving on to the other two forms. In many ways the most difficult and challenging of the three modern disciplines of Olympic fencing, the foil of today was created in the 1600s as a training weapon for nobles who expected they would one day participate in the duel of honor with a smallsword. In foil only the torso is target and only touches made with the tip are valid.

$160
Fencing: Sabre
Descended from the military dueling sabre, the modern sport sabre is probably the flashiest sport of the three. Points are scored on the opponent (above the waist) with either the tip or edge. The actions may seem reminiscent of pirate cutlass fights or cavalry sword fights.

$160
Fencing: Epee
The most recent of the three disciplines, the fencing epee derives from the duel to ” first blood” and the dueling sword of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. In epee, one can score only with the tip and the entire body is considered valid target. Epee is, by far, the most popular fencing form in Texas todays.
